No Words

The language
This dialect
These words
You cannot understand
My love language- you love
I’m being used
to heal your love and reignite the firey lover in your heart

You do not comprehend this
My love
When I fall
I crash
Melt down
Lie in agony of amor

You hold me against your chest
Tight enough to trace my breath to exhale
Close enough to feel the beat of my heart
“You are the kind of woman I need right now..
Affectionate…powerful… you need no one”
My love- I have no words

You are smooth to the touch,
smooth by the word,
freckled and tattooed
In your beautiful room
I can see the passionate remnants
This is the debris of love
After the fatal crash of the relationship
Between you and your woman

I wish you were mine,
But I can only smell the decomposing flesh
Of your love gone wrong

Hearts died in this room
Between the same four walls you wanted me
To kiss me, hold me,
and whisper erotic words between

I speak words you cannot understand
This language has undergone an evolution
gone through battles, defeats, and victories
In my book of love, it has been written already

The translation is available in a world you’ll never touch
Those eyes touch me as you stare in bewilderment
And mine back into yours
Wondering how I ended up in the arms of a fearful Wildman

This book tells me you can never be mine
In our story I was your heroine
The woman who saved your romantic-side
Who ran by your side in the mission to prevent
The lover in your heart from committing suicide

Tonight we lay in a bed of ruins
We shall both emerge stronger,
But not champions because we still want each other
As we last embrace in comfort
It is all being written

Baby, I want you

He said,
Baby, I want you
You in the most raw form
Naked
Without coverup
Naked
Without embellishments
of accomplishments
or padded bras
Naked
With Freckles and emotional scars
Naked
All her pain, love,
and past dripping
from her bare skin
Naked
Behind the sunglasses
Naked
He told her he'd hold her
when she cried
Naked
He wouldn't run from reality
Naked
he'll welcome and comfort
He said,
Baby, I want you

For You

I would erase them from my mind
FOR YOU
Highlight all the pain and experiences
And then, press delete
FOR YOU
I'd like to get a remote for all my love
press restart and start it all over
Hold your hand smoothly like mine has never been so burned
FOR YOU
I want to forget that I was conceived in a bed of chaos
And lose my sick craving for men with screws loose and endless tattoos
FOR YOU
I will fight to bury my twisters and tornados into my imagination
Where they can only destroy fictional characters I write about
FOR YOU
Ill stop running like a wild woman
Surrender from hiding
among the thick green vegetation
Into your arms dressed
in camouflage and war paint
FOR YOU
I won’t be such a cynic
I won’t compare you to the rest
I won’t try to apologize for being me
FOR YOU
I’ll hold your hand and believe,
Plant my feet in the ground,
Take a deep breath,
Let them sink and stay a while

Poem starter : Write...Write....Write!

Can you start a poem with this line? Send/share a link to your poem in comments below

I remember when I saw you for the first time....

I heard you move across the floor
Dancing.
You made such a violent sport
Look elegant, sexy,
Beautiful-ly
you floated past me
our eyes locked
From the floor
Laying on the ground my eyes flew towards yours
Colliding stars
giggling like children
from other worlds
playing in a deep, dark universe
Our adult selves just starred
eyes striking
jab for jab
just a glimpse
a foreshadowing
a precursor
a metaphysical spark

Months later we danced
in a deep, creamy white sky
Undercovers
laughing together
swimming forever in each others eyes
as if they were solar systems
unexplored
you were mine
for just that time
an expedition
a starry escape
a dream

Your lips spilled:
"I remember when I saw you for the
first time. You looked
at me with those 'fuck me' eyes"
Your words
struck me
The explosion
It was the salsa
Your lips,
My tongue
our electric twists and turns
the verification that I wasn't alone
that first time
the tangling of two
lost hearts
was a celestial reality

Better

Let the lovers, friends, and people who pass by inspire you. Read their language and acquire a new knowledge to become better.  A better creator. A better thinker. A better giver. A better lover. A better everything you ever wanted to be.

Strength of a Crowned Woman

Sparkly sparks gloss over our tequila kisses
It rained into our locked hands
My hand held slippery-perfect in yours

You let me,
let you,
kiss me
and me kiss you

You hid your darkness
Underneath your inquisitive words
Wrapped me in compliments
Like a blindfold
A sexy blackout
Leading to pleasures in the dark
We held each other

As if this was our last night-perhaps it was

You washed my sins away
In a steamy shower
In your arms
I was a goddess- perhaps I am still

You believe me a warrior
You see that I AM a woman with a crown
You say I can stand beside powerful men
As their equal- perhaps you're right

Strength is my strength
You surrendered your weaknesses
Handed me your brokenness
Into my solid palm

We see eye to eye
You cannot be mine
Nor me yours
It is time to part- my sweet heart

I watch you dance off
into the darkness
Into your black night
I wish you comfort
To heal your wounds
To find your heart

Burn the Body

L…O….V…..E
They spoke your name in vain
Against your truths
Dabbled in your book
Followed your practices
And ran away with great powers
Knowing your mechanics- love
Fleeing fast with the ability to manipulate hearts

I turned off my heart:
                  Played dead
Felt them standing over me
Muttering evil lines-
The words are satanic
Verses of knives
Writing wounds that do not heal

I convulsed and spat them out
It is too late
Standing tall as dark pillars,
in their black capes they grinned
beneath blurred faces unbeknownst to me

Church bells are ringing somewhere deep down inside
They are feint, but present
They’ve taken everything that’s left
And there’s just one thing left to do:
                  Burn the body

A Curse and a Kiss

They’ve all changed me
The sweet-talkers, the liars,
the romantics, the sex-gods,
the inconsiderate, the womanizers

She's gone into the darkest yesterday
The dreams have dissipated
The fantasies have dried up
It’s a hot desert
Filled with dancing women and tattooed men
I don't want a flowery, rhyme-y fairytale
I want a dirty, mess of a nonfiction

Baby…
That word makes you nervous
Makes you think I have too much power
And baby I have more than you can ever imagine

Tell me baby:
The juicy dramas you foresee,
That your ex will show up at our doorstep
That you'll make me cry
That we won't always be satisfied
Sexually
Romantically
We’ll fall off and loose interest
You’ll lie from time to time
But soon apologize
and I'll forgive you because it won't be betrayal
It will be a firestorm and a cool breeze
It will be a rainstorm and a rainbow
It will be a curse and a kiss

Fairies and their tales

I’m on the table with my withering
wings flopping at my sides.
Cut me open.
Take out my heart.
My magic no longer
http://www.cristanwilliams.com/b/2010/01/06/top-10-vampire-book-series/
paints that glow upon your face.

Too vulnerable. I’m reckless. Incapable.

Drain my blood…my love

Transplant.

Give me the frozen soul of a vampire.
A stone heart.
I want to be a sexy bloodsucker,
leave behind
my fairytales and wands.
I'm a bad blood-thirsty
bitch with no pulse.

I plan to seduce, smooch, and slay your friends
And slip away into the dark night.
Laughing at the homeless fairies
clutching their books of tales,
as I clutch my bottle of tequila
dancing over the streets,
my stilettos tap and strum
pavement for centuries to come.

Free

The forest is thick beyond the cliff that I look down
My hands are free
I am a powerful warrior woman
I stand with scraped forearms and knees
A little scared
A little bruised
Clutching my machete
I look down at my bruised thigh that peeks from the hole in my ripped jeans
The voices in my head are often evil
They are transplants from the mouths of heartless mortals
I can feel it when my heart beats in a time like this
I have survived the battles
I have arrived at this peaceful vision of foliage
There is nothing but freedom and love down there
With me I carry all this pain
These bloody marks look deadly
But it is beauty
It is life
My hands are free
And they might always be this empty
Yet there are many stories of past defeats and victories
There are lessons and wisdom that are priceless
Had these hands not have been free
I may not have had this extraordinary journey
Freedom comes with a price but gives many rewards
My hands are empty my love
I am not a perfect woman
I know too much to be
Anything but free

Grown Women's Cries

You took my all

You drank it down
like liquid bliss,
puckered your lips,
and were quickly thirsty for more

You found her
and her
and her
and her
and her

And sucked all their hearts dry
You make my phone glow and ring
It's possessed
I hear all the grown women’s cries
beneath the ring tone

The voice mail picks up
That woman no longer lives
She rests
Heart broken

From the Passenger's Eyes

On your passenger's side
Back here again <////3
Give.Give.Give

You'll be my heart's demise
You'll have it no other way
I love you
I can't tell you this

You'll be my hearts assassin
I know this because you've
come very close.

I'm sitting on your right side

Front
seat
of
your
ride

The passenger's side

How fitting,
you're driving-
A reckless driver
Texting at the wheel
You could care less
You asked me here
I came here

My heart said yes
My head got dressed and put on
makeup unwillingly

You pay me no mind
Texting her over and over
I see you

You're mad
You're fighting with her
I know all these things
I know you well

I can't say these things to you
I can't show I care.
I can't tell you I dream of you and me
when our passion was lit like a wild fire

I can't tell you you....
(You turn to glance at me as I write these words feverishly)
...I sit quiet as you type away

Spilling your heart out to her
As I write this poem to you
A poem you'll never read

I touch your arm and neck
I caress you
Attempting to soothe your pain

You don't touch me
You think my affection
is of another world

I have grown and I know now
That I am just fine
This world accepts my loving nature

I am not strange
I am a lover
Dying to love you

You won't let me
You are confused
You might want to
You might not
You might have a grand plan
You might not have one at all

Your kiss is different
It is passionless
It is not that of a lover

Why have you asked me here
You asked to see me repeatedly
You take me to a home goods store to run errands-
 playing husband n wife

You are selfish, yet you ask for nothing
You are selfish and return only the things that cost money
You are selfish, yet you don't want sex.
You want my heart.

ROCK...PAPER..

ROCK.PAPER.SEVERED

 I see your text,
 lay the phone down,
and put my pen to the paper.

 REPLY.PAPER.LIPSTICK

I used to write champagne-infused chocolate strawberry love poems about you.
Now, I write gunpowder and fire packed tragedies.

 RAGE.PAPER.SMASHED

I see another one of your texts,
press my lips to the paper,
and light a match RECK.PAPER.FLAME

Meditation

I dream deep fields of color

In the fall I close my eyes
and step curiously twisting down rows of beautiful
orange pumpkin patches and dancing in apple orchards
looking for him hiding among the foliage
playing our game

Summer slumber makes me soar
through great big purple vineyards
holding his hand pretending
he was mine forever

Spring sleep brings a rainbow, scented sea of color.
An enormous bouquet of flowers of all varieties...
Blues, greens, whites, pinks, reds and yellows.
I pick a few and hold them close to my nose
I see his smile

In the winter I dream of a white blanket of snow
under a black sky lit with stars that resemble Christmas lights.
Red is the color of the fire I sit in front of.
I imagine the warmth consumes me
as I breathe in the heat of the room into my soul.

Queen to the King

You are ferocious
A king lion
A man unshaven

I spent hours in the royal bed
and have swung through your jungle,
but you don't know me at all

A queen,
I am under these covers
My jewels sparkle through my clothing
Hungry eyes, like yours, don't see them

You are a strange predator
I think to myself
As I run freely to and from you
without any opposition

The things we do are a luxury to the commoners
We surrender ourselves to bodily pleasures
Unchain ourselves from the shackles of the cerebral

My majesty it excites me that you cannot see
                      ME
The powerful woman fully clothed in formal elegant attire,
outside this bed, with a mouth full of eloquent verbiage

The day has come I’ll return no more
through your doors of carnage
and into your arms that have pleased just the body

I sit on my thrown,
imagining for just a moment
how you might handsomely rest on your own
wondering if it is possible you discharged
a caring thought into the universe:
Who is that beauty really?

Love to Death

She set our bed a flame
and left me cold.

Those lava-colored eyes are much more striking than mine.

You were hypnotized.
    So in love-
    love-struck!

My love,
I too,
have been struck by her knives,
then
by your lies

           She is the love-devil.

You say she excited you,
Her evil words delighted you
Her curses aroused you

          ----Now I curse you---

While you lay in the debris of you and she
I see her image pulling on the sheets of
my bed while I try to sleep.
Her demonic stares are deep and lusty.

In the
wildest,
thickest,
greenest
jungle

I am the lush, carnal creature wanting bodily pleasures/ she’s a blood thirsty tiger that never backs down.

+We prepare to engage in a fight to the death.+

Only one woman will walk from this arena,
triumphantly holding the other's beating heart.

Before the show begins I sit before a mirror
Watching as the other women admire me

They braid my hair back
My eyes sparkling with a glittery shadow
Lotion is rubbed onto my skin

I dress in leather,
wrapped in lace
and spiked belts

                              She approaches/ I approach/ We approach.

Our eyes lock.
                  A bell has rung!

      The
battle
      commences

This Poem is Not About You

Write poetry all
over me with your
pinches and tickles.

Push my buttons
make the images
pour from my pen.

Squeeze yourself
into my dreams
and fantasies.

Kiss me hard
like you mean it
and ill scribble
it into forever.
